LABOUR HAVE TO BAIL KHAN OUT… AGAIN
The Mayor just seems to be allergic to meeting targets, and so now Downing Street have had to rescue him.
In 2021, the Mayor of London was given £4bn by the Conservatives to build affordable housing in London and to tackle the housing crisis that is extracting money from Londoners’ pockets in the form of high rents and housing costs. His target was to build 35,000 homes by 2026. Then in 2023, he slashed these targets down to 23,900, and this week after announcing he’s only started 5,100, the Labour Government cut the goal further to just 17,000 homes. He’s got less than 12 months to build 12,000 homes - and it doesn’t look like he’s going to do that either. Can he do anything properly?

THE DEPUTY MAYOR: CAN SHE ANSWER ANYTHING?
Kaya Comer-Schwartz has been the Deputy Mayor for Police & Crime for the last 8 months, and for £150,000 a year we don’t think she’s providing much value for money to London taxpayers. Quizzed by Susan Hall AM about looming police cuts, she seems completely unable to even string a sentence together - let alone answer. Is this what we pay tax for?
