The ULEZ Scandal: Your update
Sadiq Khan caught making false and dishonest statements to the London Assembly.
It's been an awful start to the year for Sadiq Khan, as he was caught making false and dishonest statements to the London Assembly over his ULEZ expansion consultation.
He told the Assembly that he was not briefed on the ULEZ consultation results, as did his Deputy Mayor for Transport, Seb Dance, which in both cases was not true.
The Conservative London Assembly Members uncovered secret documents that proved he was briefed on the consultation results and that over 5,000 responses were improperly excluded from the results.
Over 52,000 responses were received, which makes this the largest response to a TfL consultation in the past decade, and the results were overwhelmingly against ULEZ expansion. Sadiq Khan is ignoring the voice of London and refusing to stand up for the multitudes of Londoners who will be negatively impacted by this ULEZ expansion.
